Beyond Our Fate- part 3
There was always this group of boys who wandered around the corridors, corner to corner, without any particular reason. In our college, interaction between boys and girls was almost non-existent. We barely spoke to each other, and even when we participated in inter-college events, we hardly got a chance to interact with the opposite gender. Still, somewhere inside me, I believed that a boys’ gang would be more fun than a girls’ gang.
And luckily, I got that chance.
Kamalesh was the good listener. Whenever I got irritated with someone, I would pour my heart out to him. He became my non-blood brother, someone I never imagined life would gift me.
Madhan — the real idiot — was the one I could gossip with endlessly. He never got tired of my nonstop talking and made everything lighter.
Ganesh was the silent one. He didn’t speak much, but he understood everything deeply, without me having to explain much.
Apart from them, I also got the chance to know Harishkumar, Arikrishan, and Naveen.
Naveen was the first person I interacted with — a wonderful dancer, a multitasker, someone who carried strength and storm within himself.
These guys never failed to support me on my bad days.
“Not every boy who walks into your life is meant to break your heart; some are sent to heal it as a brother in disguise — to hold your tears without judgment, to stand beside you in silence, to protect your soul without asking for anything in return, and to remind you that love doesn’t always have to be romantic, sometimes it comes in the pure form of friendship.”
