You're My Fate – Part 18: The Golden Birthday (2025)

They say a golden birthday is when your age matches the date you were born.

For Rasiya and Sivam, it wasn’t just golden by number—it was golden by fate.
In 2025, the universe aligned... like a secret smile from the stars.

Rasiya turned 24 on the 24th, and Sivam turned 29 on the 29th—just five days apart.

That week, there was something strange in the air.
She could feel it again—that unexplainable warmth in her chest.
Not memories. Not pain. But presence.
As if he was whispering to her without words.

Even after all the distance, she sensed his energy like a wave returning to shore.
She caught herself looking at the moon, thinking,
“Are you feeling this too, Sivam?”

On her golden birthday, Rasiya wore a deep maroon saree, something that reminded her of his favorite color on her. She smiled at the mirror—not out of joy, but recognition.

“Why do I still feel connected, like we share one breath across time?”

Far away, Sivam stood at his terrace, his shirt fluttering in the wind.
holding a photo in his wallet—folded, creased, but cherished.
It was Rasiya, the way he remembered her glowing face in the morning sunshine, the way she kept on irritating him by making fun of him, her laugh, her anger, her childishness, her warmth.

someone who still belongs to him, somehow.

He whispered into the wind,
“Happy golden birthday, Rasiya. I know you felt me.”

No messages. No calls.
But hearts spoke.

He missed her calls. The way she keep on calling him in a day, he looked at the phone display—no notifications

Later that evening, as the clock turned 12 for Sivam’s birthday on the 29th,
Rasiya lit a candle, closed her eyes, and simply said,
“Wherever you are… happy golden birthday, my love. If this is twin flame… I understand now. I don’t need to have you near to feel you.”

And at that very moment,
Sivam was startled by a sudden rush of emotion.
Tears welled in his eyes.

How can absence feel so full?

Two souls.
Two birthdays.
Golden days meant to remind them—

They were never apart.

Just waiting for the right lifetime…
Or maybe just the right moment in this one.
