It was a peaceful morning, as usual. From 5 to 6 a.m., I would get ready and rush to catch the college bus. Breakfast at 7:10 a.m. in the mess had become a routine, followed by meeting my friends and settling into class. There was always this group of boys who wandered around the corridors, corner to corner, without any particular reason. In our college, interaction between boys and girls was almost non-existent. We barely spoke to each other, and even when we participated in inter-college events, we hardly got a chance to interact with the opposite gender. Still, somewhere inside me, I believed that a boys’ gang would be more fun than a girls’ gang. And luckily, I got that chance.
